Gyles Lingwood is Director of Education (College of Arts) and created the Creative Advertising programme at the University of Lincoln, on which he still teaches. After graduating from Birmingham Institute of Art & Design he worked in central London for a variety of advertising and design companies. Gyles’ work has been featured in the national design press and has won a number of awards including D&AD, British Interactive Media Association and the US Creativity Awards. His students have been winning national/international advertising and design competitions since 2007.

Gyles is a Senior Fellow of the HEA and has been on validation panels for UK Higher Education design courses. He regularly undertakes advisory roles in the area of design education as well as speaking at business events on the subjects of creativity, idea generation and copywriting. His book ‘Read Me - 10 Lessons for Writing Great Copy’ (co-authored with Roger Horberry) was published by Laurence King in September 2014.
