Advertising Agency of the Year

VML New York

Born from the unification of Wunderman Thompson and VMLY&R, VML has forged a new path as a creative agency, consultancy, and technology powerhouse. The stand-out work from VML New York this year is OreoCodes, a mobile-led experience that brings together one of the most iconic duos of all time (Oreos and milk) in a unique and innovative way for Mondelēz International. The work received five D&AD Graphite Pencils and two Yellow Pencils. ​

Design Agency of the Year

Raw Materials

Design company Raw Materials aims to create unusual work that looks beautiful and feels different. Their stand-out work this year is 855-HOW-TO-QUIT-(OPIOIDS), a helpline for Anzen Health that uses opioid pill codes as phone extensions, connecting the caller with a person who managed to quit that very same pill, and sharing their experiences and advice on how to quit. ​

Production Company of the Year

DIVISION

DIVISION is a creative production company with offices in Paris, Los Angeles and Sydney. 2024 is their fourth consecutive year as D&AD’s Production Company of the Year, with Yellow Pencil-winning work including music videos Gangsta with Free Nationals, Anderson .Paak and A$AP Rocky and Mama's Eyes with METTE.​

Client of the Year

AB InBev

The Belgian drinks company AB InBev is D&AD’s Client of the Year, in part thanks to the stand-out work Dreamcaster for Michelob ULTRA, in which they partnered with the New York Knicks and the MSG Network, helping Cameron Black become the first blind person to commentate an NBA game on TV.

Independent Agency Network of the Year

Serviceplan

Independent, partner-led creative agency Serviceplan has been creating brand experiences since 1970. Serviceplan Germany’s stand-out works this year are 855-HOW-TO-QUIT-(OPIOIDS) and AIZOME WASTECARE Industrial Waste — Certified as Skincare. The latter was made for Japanese startup AIZOME, who developed a dyeing method that uses only water, plants, and ultrasound to create textiles that are not only harmless, but even come with health benefits.

Agency Network of the Year

Ogilvy

15 Ogilvy offices around the world contributed to the advertising agency becoming D&AD’s Agency Network of the Year for 2024. Their stand-out works this year include the Yellow Pencil-winning Michael CeraVe for CeraVe by Ogilvy PR and the Graphite Pencil-winning The Cost of Beauty for Dove by Ogilvy UK.
