Toby is a Creative Partner at AMV BBDO, and with partner Jim Hilson, global creative leads on Essity brands Libresse/Bodyform and Tena. Under their leadership these brands have found ever bolder ways to smash taboos and shape culture. Overturning decades of advertising conventions and social stigma with Bodyform BloodNormal. Using humour to normalise male incontinence for Tena Men. Teaming up with scientists, gyms and food outlets to help women exercise on their periods for Bodyform Red.Fit. And the recent viral hit Viva La Vulva for Libresse - a joyful musical ode to female genitalia.

The bravery, purpose and craft of their approach has been recognised at every major award show. Work they have written or led has won Titanium, Glass Grand Prix for Change, and two Golds at Cannes, 17 D&AD Pencils, British Arrows Commercial of the year and 13 Golds; and a further 13 Grand Prix around the world across all categories including Integrated, Film, Social Impact and Brand Bravery.

They have reshaped the agency’s placement scheme to encourage greater creative diversity, and mentor D&AD’s diversity programme. In 2018 their efforts were recognised by Management Today, naming them alongside FTSE 100 CEOs as 'Agents of Change' for workplace equality.
