Will Awdry is a freelance coach, copywriter and strategist. He worked in advertising for over thirty years, mostly as a copywriter, creative director and - briefly - acting managing director at agencies such as Bartle Bogle Hegarty and Ogilvy & Mather. He and his teams have been recognised and awarded at D&AD, Cannes, the One Show and others.
He has worked with well over 100 different brands, services and companies, from creative directing Unilever’s Dove (Real Beauty) and Knorr globally, to Audi, Levi’s, the BBC, The Guardian and umpteen different players from every possible category.
Will has also worked in design, naming and creating and refreshing premium food and drink brands at Big Fish, besides writing long-form books for both property and luxury brands. He has coached British Design & Art Direction's Writing Courses since 2000. He has also led and served on many juries for writing awards.
