With 21 years of experience in the industry, Romero Cavalcanti started his career as a copywriter. Before joining EnergyBBDO, he was Creative Director at FCB Brasil and, prior to that, worked at other major agencies such as F/Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi and AlmapBBDO, creating campaigns for brands like Skol (AB-Inbev), O Boticário, P&G (Head & Shoulders), Unilever (Seda, Lux), Nivea, Leica, Volkswagen, Honda, Ford, Chevrolet, HSBC and Nike, among others.
During his career, Romero has won 20 Lions at the Cannes Festival, including the coveted Grand Prix in the video category for the “100” commercial for Leica, and also multiple awards at D&AD, Clio Awards, One Show, Young Guns, London Festival, El Ojo de Iberoamérica, alongside national festivals like Professionals of the Year by Globo Network and the Brazilian Creative Club. He is on Advertising Age’s annual Top 5 list of Creative Professionals and was the 10th most award winning copywriter at the 2015 Cannes and at the 2015 One Show.
