Throughout his career Jim has interacted with the three levers that drive change––government, non-profits/NGOs, and brands.
Of those, he believes that brands have the most influence. He started the brand citizenship practice at 72andSunny in 2014 to partner with global brands and set their sights on maximizing impact rather than just moving more units. Brand Citizens is now a stand-alone company delivering strategy and playbooks at the intersection of shared value, social responsibility and innovation.
When not working, Jim advances the art of waterproof sculpture, he’s 30 boards into a side gig as a surfboard shaper.
