Jonathan Kneebone is the co-founder of The Glue Society - an independent art and directing collective based in Sydney, Australia and Wellington, New Zealand – with production connections in the UK and USA.

The Glue Society’s work encompasses everything from the direction of experiential projects, online entertainment and TV commercials, to the creation of art exhibitions, public installations and site-specific sculpture.

In response to its pioneering work balancing art and commerce, Creativity Magazine defined the creative group as ‘the experts at things which haven’t been done before’. And a number of their projects have been similarly singled out for praise by the likes of Time magazine, The New York Times & The Guardian.

Among its array of advertising awards from every international festival, The Glue Society counts a Cannes Titanium, multiple Grands Prix, Gold Lions and D&Ad Yellow Pencils.

Throughout its 20 year history, the collective has been recognised as one of Australia’s most creative companies and has regularly appeared in the Gunn Report’s Top Ten director listing.

The Glue Society's exhibitions include Miami Art Basel, Pulse New York, Art & About Sydney – as well as numerous shows across the USA, UK, Europe and recently in front of the Presidential Palace in Santiago, Chile.

For experiential, installation and film project direction, The Glue Society is represented by the pioneering production company Will O’Rourke in Australia, the UK and USA.

Jonathan is currently a member of the D&AD Global Advisory Board and the Australian AWARD committee.
