Sascha is Partner & Executive Creative Director of Hamburg-based communication agency Kolle Rebbe.
He started his career as a copywriter with Springer&Jacoby in Hamburg.
In 2002, he was recruited by Jung von Matt, ultimately working for the company for 10 years, first as a copywriter, then Creative Director, and finally Managing Creative Director, an interdisciplinary role for high profile clients like BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Bosch, RWE electricity & gas, Sixt car rental and 1&1 (United Internet). His clients also included small but exclusive brands such as Konzerthaus Dortmund.
From an early stage Hanke’s focus was on the incorporation of digital channels and establishing integrated thinking and working methods.
Together with his team, Hanke won the first Integrated Lion for Germany at the International Cannes Lions Festival in 2011 for their “Konzertmilch Dortmund” project.
Since 2012 Sascha has worked at Kolle Rebbe developing integrated campaigns and design concepts for brands such as o2/Telefonica, 3M/Scotch, Rosenthal fine porcelain, Misereor, DPD parcel delivery and the Federal Employment Agency.
In addition, Sascha regularly judges international award shows like D&AD, Cannes Lions, Clios, NYF, ADC, iF, and more.
Sascha has a great passion for writing and producing music (there are even rumours that he’s a serious Pet Shop Boys fan) and has been intensively involved in fostering Germany’s up-and-coming agencies for many years.
He regularly lectures at Miami Ad School Europe and ADC Germany and very much enjoys seeing what he can squeeze out of his students’ brains.
