John Owen

John is a behavioural specialist with a focus on developing healthy and productive working cultures.

John’s background is in marketing and he was the strategy partner at Dare for 12 years. During this time, the agency won 6 Agency of the Year awards and was named Digital Agency of the Decade by Campaign magazine. This success was a direct result of the agency’s highly creative working culture.

After completing a masters in behavioural science at the LSE in 2016, John formed his own consultancy, the Decision Practice, to help other businesses with their own working cultures. He applies both scientific insight and his past experience to help clients manage change, motivate teams and make more effective decisions. Ultimately his role is to foster the conditions in which people – and therefore the businesses they work for – can thrive.
