What is New Blood?

It is a series of world class programmes for new creatives. We aim to reach young creatives from as far and wide as possible to offer inspiration, learning and genuine breaks on the way into industry.

D&AD New Blood

  • Awards

    Industry standard briefs set by global brands are taken on by students, recent graduates and under 24s around the world. Winning a New Blood Pencil is an instant validation of your talent.

  • Festival

    A creative takeover. Students flaunt their work in the face of the industry to make meaningful connections and land their first break whilst brands, agencies and studios open their doors.

  • Academy

    A bootcamp filled with inspiring talks, briefs, hacks and workshops. Only those who are nominated in the Awards, or impress at the Exhibition, are invited on this unique learning experience.

  • Shift

    The creative industry thrives on diversity, and it's desperate for new ways of thinking. We want to open this world up to more than just traditionally educated, advantaged groups and create opportunities that are based solely on talent.
