Shir Baron is a Character Animator at DreamWorks. She has worked on titles such as Trolls: Holiday in Harmony, Boss Baby: Family Business and most recently the 2023 Academy Award® nominated feature Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.
Shir graduated from Ringling College of Art & Design in 2020. After a summer internship at Riot Games, she joined DreamWorks in the fall of 2020. She also helped with some animation for multiple different projects, such as the award winning short film “The Black Slide” by Uri Lotan.
Born and raised in Israel, Shir took an unconventional path to ultimately achieve her goal of becoming an animator. After backpacking across Far-East Asia, she worked as a flight attendant. She was greatly inspired by her travels and her time volunteering with children with special needs, which led her to create the award-winning short film “The Train to Qinling” during her time at Ringling.
