As Grey London’s Design Director, Steve Davies has built one of the worlds’ most internationally awarded, creatively celebrated design departments.
During his tenure, ‘Davies has driven the agency’s ambition towards global recognition from the likes of D&AD through to Cannes Lions, via his relentless drive to push design as far as possible aesthetically, across all media and all brands, even those you wouldn’t expect beautiful work from.
Since joining at the end of 2012, fresh from Saatchi & Saatchi London, ‘Davies has made famous the agency’s now reputable, design credentials – integrating design firmly within the formative stages of Grey’s creative process.
In 2015 Davies’ was awarded the coveted ‘Designerati Top 100’ accolade as one of the UK’s most influential designers together with other luminaries celebrated for their ingenuity in fresh thinking, ability to inspire others, and a relentless commitment to design.
He has been commissioned to design a book cover for Penguin Random House which featured in the British Design Exhibiton at the V&A Museum, and contributed to the prolific Paul Smith exhibition at the Design Museum in 2014.
Steve was the Design Director at Saatchi London for three years, held the same position at BMB and tenured senior design roles at Leagas Delaney and AMV. During this time he produced award-winning work for clients including Guinness, Toyota, Lucozade, COI and Samaritans, and has received various D&AD, Creative Circle and Campaign Press and Poster Awards.
