Speaking without words has always been pivotal in my life. This of course was imperative as my first word only came about at the age of 4, My interest in verbal communication was shy and I was more intrigued by the unsaid, the unheard; what happens between the lines. I grew up with unique ideas and constructs of engagement and the translation of thoughts. From that first word, “spoon”, all the way to my current position, … I still find myself on a constantly evolving journey of understanding myself and others.
This journey started when my mother, who studied graphic design, was constantly searching for ways to communicate with me. She made flash cards by hand with typography that were designed to be seen not only as letters, but also as shapes. Communication is my grand passion as well as my life’s utmost challenge. But I will forever work as hard as my mother did to communicate with me in order to communicate with the world.
As I grew, both as a person and designer, I had the honour of being selected to be part of the D&AD New Blood, working with Harry Pearce’s team at Pentagram, Jonathan Barnbrook, Tinie Tempah, Saatchi & Saatchi Health and Publicis Lifebrands. I was also nominated for a She Says, Woman of the Year award. In 2019, I relocated to the US to work for the worlds most awarded agency, AREA23. I am now a Group Art Supervisor.
