Nedal Ahmed

Nedal Ahmed

  • Executive Creative Director
  • United States

Born in Libya to Sudanese parents, Nedal also spent her childhood in Egypt and Yemen before emigrating to the US with her family.

In Texas, after pursuing and quickly abandoning the idea of being a sports journalist, she turned her attention to advertising. Nedal started her career in Dallas at TracyLocke, before moving to New York, where she worked at BBDO and Droga5, where she made ads featuring everything from sanding equipment to Serena Williams.

The instinct to move struck again, leading to a stint at 72andSunny Amsterdam, where she drastically improved her novice biking skills. From there, she doubled the time difference and made the move to Wieden+Kennedy Tokyo. She spent much of her time there exploring the authentic cuisine of Japanese convenience stores.

In 2023, she moved back to New York, spending time at Google Creative Lab, before joining Mother as Executive Creative Director.

Throughout her career, Nedal has helped spark cultural conversations beyond advertising. She’s been named one of Forbes 30 Under 30 and Ad Age’s Creative of the Year. Her work has been consistently awarded, with accolades including the Cannes Lions Film Grand Prix and the Emmy for Outstanding Commercial.
