Lawrence Zeegen is an educator | illustrator | writer.
Lawrence Zeegen is Dean of the School of Design and Professor of Illustration at Ravensbourne. He leads undergraduate, postgraduate and research in Communication Design, Architecture and Fashion. He has lectured at conferences and institutions and acted as design education consultant nationally and internationally.
Zeegen’s design and illustration clients include major international newspapers, magazines, book publishers, design companies and advertising agencies. As a design writer Zeegen has contributed to numerous publications and is author of nine published books on the subject of illustration; his latest books, Fifty Years of Illustration (Laurence King) was published in Oct 2014 and Ladybird by Design (Penguin) in March 2015.
Zeegen is a trustee of D&AD, a trustee of the De Le Warr Pavilion, a member of the Design Council Sounding Board and on the Exhibition Committee of The House of Illustration. He is also a former Vice-President of ico-D (Icograda).
