Nathan’s rise as one of South Africa’s most-awarded creatives has been fast and furious.

He started his career in 1990 at FCB. In 1992 he joined TBWA/Hunt/Lascaris as head of design moving on to head the design department at AMC, later known as DDB SA. Nathan is a founding member of TBWA/Gavin/Reddy and GRID where he remains today. He has grown Grid into South Africa’s top Brand agency.

Nathan holds a National Diploma in Graphic Design, and has a 22-year track record in graphic design and has been recognised with 65 awards over the years.

He’s worked on many blue-chip clients including: Edgars, Standard Bank, BMW, Peoples Bank, Transnet, Ster-Kinekor, MTN, Nissan, Exclusive Books, Southern Sun, McDonald’s, Nissan, Coca-Cola, Mobil, Virgin Mobile, Liberty Life, YFM, ICC Cricket World Cup, FNB, South African Tourism, KFC, Nike, Michelin, Louvre Abu Dhabi and Brand Qatar.

Nathan’s work has been published both locally and internationally. He’s won numerous awards and is the founder of The South African Graphic Design Council (THINK) as well as an executive director of the Creative Circle. Nathan’s current challenge is transforming the design industry in South Africa. Nathan was the youngest member ever inducted into the Loeries Hall of Fame in 2017.
