We were asked to launch the 16th China International Advertising Festival Exhibition, to be held in Japan, as well as design the exhibition venue. The theme was ‘China High!’ which expresses the vibrancy and power of China. Using the traditional Chinese kite as a motif, we explored various designs that best expressed contemporary China. We kept the distinctive designs and forms of Chinese kites, and created four new kites. The mated pair of swallows symbolises city and traffic; the green dragon, bodyand sports; the panda, food culture; and the red goldfish, fashion and design. The campaign was also selected in Graphic Design Posters.
