Christopher Lee Ball cut his design teeth creating new digital products for
Thompson Reuters in New York City. After earning a masters degree in film
theory in London in 2006, he was one of the lead designers of the YouView IPTV
platform for the BBC and its partner broadcasters. Leading a multidisciplinary
design team, Christopher was responsible for the creation of the channel guide
interface, TV apps, the design of the remote control, and the branding and launch
In 2009 he joined Digitas London, where clients included Virgin Atlantic, BT,
AstraZeneca, Nissan, and HSBC. As an Executive Creative Director focusing on
experience design and the discipline head of the user experience team,
Christopher was part of the creative leadership team responsible for producing
award-winning, industry-defining work.
In 2018 he joined the startup Constellation AI as VP of Research and Design,
where he works with incredible researchers, designers, and technologists
building a better future for humanity with AI. Through the emerging craft of
conversation design, Christopher and team are paving the way for innovative
new human-computer interactions in a range of channels, from apps to home
devices to AR/VR.
Christopher has a real passion for storytelling and sharing his design philosophy.
In his spare time he runs a masterclass in UX for D&AD and is an MA course
lecturer for experience design at University of Graz, Austria.
