Iván Mato is a Spanish-born, London-based creative director at Jones Knowles Ritchie. He designs and develops future-ready brands for sustainable growth.

Over the past decade, Iván has created multi-dimensional brand identities, online to offline design ecosystems, memorable experiences, and compelling communications for some of the world’s most interesting companies.

Clients include The National Lottery, Mars, Ocado, ABInBev, Infarm, NIO, Intercontinental Hotels Group, Yamaha, Nokia, T3 Micro, Deutsche Bank, Siemens, Cunard, Apollo Tyres and Panasonic, amongst others.

Iván is a strong believer in the power of design to solve complex problems for individuals, create opportunities for businesses, and address intricate issues for society as a whole. He is passionate about new ways of working, multidisciplinary practices, collaboration and co-creation, and the continuous improvement of the design process via user participation and client engagement.

Prior to joining Jones Knowles Ritchie in 2019, he held positions at Forpeople, Interbrand, Saffron Brand Consultants, Start JG, OPX Studio, in-house at Nokia Design, and in Spain with Ombretta Corsini. His work has been recognised by the Clio Awards, D&AD, the Art Directors Club, Red Dot Design Awards and the Type Directors Club.
