Duncan Hamilton is a designer, publisher, and teacher. He has worked as a freelance designer and consultant since 1999 with clients including the Arts Council of England, Nike, Puma, Urban Outfitters, Arielle de Pinto and No.6 Store.

From 1994 to 2007 he was co-founder and principal of three independent art organizations, the 3 Month Gallery, All Horizons Club and White Diamond Projects. He has organized a wide range of art, film and print projects - often undertaken with a number of regular collaborators. He has also worked as an independent curator for the Arts Council of England, FACT in Liverpool, Frieze Art Fair, The British Council and the Liverpool Biennial.

Since 1998 he has published the Black Diamond Magazine and the Trinity Journal. He currently publishes Decathlon Books with Peter Sutherland and has worked as printer for Dexter Sinister, David Reinfurt, Thumb Projects and Printed Matter on the production of mimeographed books.

Between 2009 and 2012 he worked as Creative Director at Urban Outfitters but now combines freelance design with teaching at the Pratt Institute in New York.
