Jenny Ehlers is Executive Creative Director and shareholder of the independent agency group, King James, based in Cape Town, South Africa. It is here she has enjoyed 18 years of driving creative excellence and growth across a portfolio of high-profile brands, including Levi’s® and Johnnie Walker®.
Jenny is a conscious creative leader driven by the desire to produce ideas that do more than just benefit her clients. She champions design thinking and problem-solving alongside design aesthetics to deliver beautiful, single-minded and persuasive creative solutions which are equal in meaning and purpose.
It is this pursuit of perfection that has led to her team winning a number of prestigious accolades over the years, including 3 consecutive Loerie Grands Prix, 2 One Show Gold Pencils and 2 D&AD entries in the book. At the same time she manages, mentors and inspires with a dynamic energy and enthusiasm to encourage a climate of creativity that constantly pushes boundaries.
Jenny judged The One Show in 2007, the Dubai Lynx in 2012 and was on the jury at Cannes twice, in 2006 and 2017. She currently sits on the Academic and Advisory Boards of various design institutions in Cape Town, with her passion being the nurturing of young talent for the industry.
