I began my career very early, working in ad cinema.
Had my degree at Universidade de São Paulo and back in the 90’s worked at MTV Brasil, creating, producing and directing promo and campaign spots. I still consider this period my real degree, learning the craft and mainly creativity.
After that I started directing ads and in 2004 found my studio, Piloto, together with Alexandre Chalabi, my partner till today.
Piloto quickly transformed into a design-driven production company, focusing on telling stories/narratives using mixed media and a lot of humour.
in the last 15 years, I had directed and produced campaigns for almost all the main agencies in Brazil, for clients such as Nivea, Santander, Caixa, Mercedes, Wal-Mart, Danone, Nestlé, and Ambev, among others. As well as the constant work for TV channels such as Multishow, MTV, SporTV, Globo, Nickelodeon and Canal Brasil.
I was executive producer of two feature films in this period: Meu Amigo Claudia (best documentary at Mix Brasil in 2009, an official selection at San Francisco’s Frameline in the same year, and best documentary at LesGayCineMadrid) and Gata Velha Ainda Mia, a thriller produced in partnership with Canal Brasil.
I’ve been awarded as director (along with Alexandre Chalabi) at Cannes Lions, Clio Awards, Ciclope, Promax/BDA, El Ojo, CCSP, Lusófonos, among others.
today he is a scene director (as a duo with Alexandre Chalabi) and general director of Piloto.
In 2017, we’ve realized the opening video for D&AD Next Awards, one of our most beloved works.
