In 2019, Australia was hit by bushfires due to climate change. NRMA Insurance wanted to help prepare the next generation who stood to be most impacted. Using their favourite game, Thinkerbell created the world’s first bushfire simulation using the insurer's data to inform the game's climate trends. 29 million blocks were used to build a typical, coastal town in Australia, complete with local wildlife and vegetation. The game educated kids through challenges and drills inspired by real life disaster safety actions and is now available in schools across the country.
