Cities in Motion

A playful way to portray the name of the corresponding city in major train stations in the Netherlands. The custom made typeface is designed specifically for vertical screens. The variable type changes according to a self developed script written in Python, DrawBot. The script animates every word you enter and gives it a dynamic character.
The grid is constantly in motion, the letters adjust to its changing framework perfectly. The typeface is special because each letter is designed for every possible framework the script dictates. In this way the letters are never distorted.
