For the first time ever, Apple showed up at the biggest stage for tech brands, the Consumer Electronic Show in Las Vegas, without actually partaking in it. But with a purposely located billboard across the street from the Convention Center, that said nothing about technology, and everything about values. This timely gesture disrupted the event, shifting the conversation both online and in major news media around the world, from the usual tech trends to a debate that the industry can, and should no longer ignore.
