Since Doomsday, books have been rectangular. Equiangular, quadrilateral, square.
Then the 2019 Creative Circle Annual came along. It was wonky. It messed up bookshelves.The angle of the bottom edge cut precisely to set it apart from other books. It doesn’t slot in neatly, but that’s the point. You have to be a bit awkward to make an impact. The distorted design goes through each spread. Twisted typography, asymmetric angles, counterintuitive crops & peculiar pagination. All to convey Creative Circle’s slant on creativity. If you don’t fit in you stand out.
