In prison, time moves slowly. Stuck between a troubled past and an uncertain future, you count the days and try not to think about the years. Fine Cell Work train inmates in paid, skilled needlework that fosters a sense of purpose and self-esteem. Twelve coloured threads mark the passing of time on this unique calendar and the transition from a dark place to a brighter future. It helps supporters appreciate the time, effort and skill embroidery involves and therefore strengthens the emotional bond with the charity.
