The films convey an atmosphere of dread, showing characters looking at themselves in mirrors before being surprised suddenly by strangers who stare back at them over their shoulders. After the scare, we read a message warning us of drivers that can appear behind us suddenly when we’re on the road. The film ends with a short explanation stating that Volkswagen’s Side Assist alerts you of vehicles in your rear-view mirror’s blind spot.
