These commercials aired as part of VB beer’s ‘The Regulars’ campaign in the months following the major two-minute launch TV spot that premiered during the first day of The Ashes. Australians, proud of their ability to laugh at themselves and others, are notorious for categorising people according to their appearance, their habits, where they live, what they do, their strengths and their weaknesses. It is this exceptional Australian ability to deliver the backhanded compliment that all of these spots celebrate. A total of 15 commercials were cut from 14 hours of footage and rolled out over the summer to keep the campaign fresh.
