In 2009 Johnnie Walker Black Label and Selfridges celebrated their centenaries. We were asked to create a limited edition bottle to mark their joint birthdays. Both brands share a colour palette of black and yellow. We used bold, block yellow on the label, an iconic way of recognising the two brands’ shared spirit of progress. Black glass was used to increase the impact of the colour change, and leather replaced paper for the label, adding a touch of luxury.
