Animals in Kitchen

Award: Wood Pencil

Wood Pencil / TV & Cinema Crafts / Special Effects / 2006

It's early morning in a city flat. Two kids rush out of the door on their way to school, leaving mum to tidy up. Mum pauses and goes to make herself a nice slice of Country Life Spreadable Butter on toast. As she spreads the butter, a robin appears on the windowsill. Charming, quintessentially English music heralds the arrival of more animals, including red squirrels, wild rabbits, birds and hedgehogs. Mum enjoys her delicious slice of toast whilst the rabbits do the dishes, the hedgehogs tidy the floor and the squirrels do the dusting. Finally, the animals take out the rubbish and leave behind a beautiful vase full of daffodils. The screen then cuts to a pack of Country Life Spreadable Butter in the idyllic English countryside. ‘Enjoy the taste of Country Life. ‘
