On the outside, twins Alana and Lisa (The Mac Twins) are identical. However, during a research project with King’s College London, they discovered something surprising – despite sharing 100% of the same DNA, their guts only contained 40% of the same microbiota. This discovery was a revelation: it explained why their bodies behaved differently, and it led to the creation of ‘The Gut Stuff’.
