Rankin  is one of the most prolific creative polymaths of the past 30 years. Since his Dazed & Confused magazine days with Jefferson Hack, Rankin hasn't stopped taking on new creative challenges and expanding his practice across multiple areas, name it photography, publishing or even marketing.
 
While he's been known as one of the world's best photographers, he is at the heart of the creative industries, where he has positioned his independent creative agency that encompasses everything he does. Here he chats to D&AD Trustee and former Editor at Creative Review Patrick Burgoyne about the new methods of content production and the perils of Instagram and photo sharing apps on mental health while touching upon his top tips for portrait photography.
