Type The Talk Back
Type The Talk Back
Books contain profound stories, yet remain one of the least expressive media, as traditional typography flattens emotion into a neutral voice. This disconnect pulls attention from the static page toward visually amplified social platforms. For Gen Z, text is not just read but felt- through visual expression, forms, color, and typographic variation. Reimagining reading into an interactive experience, Monotype and Penguin created a reactive typographic ecosystem that translates collective emotions into visual form. By turning the page into a social surface that responds to real-time interactions, the system creates a live dialogue between the story and everyone reading together.
