The Bench Marks
The Bench Marks
The Bench Marks is a public design initiative that tackles digital hyperconnectivity by encouraging real person-to-person interaction in shared urban spaces. The project reimagines the public bench as a colorful, vibrant platform for conversation, with each side representing opposing opinions that naturally provoke reaction, curiosity, and dialogue. By combining bold visual design with locally relevant themes, each bench becomes tailored to its community and cultural context. Scalable and community-led, the project also invites people to submit their own designs for local areas, transforming public benches into platforms for connection, expression, and meaningful social exchange.
