The Art Against Dementia

Dementia is one of the fastest-growing health conditions in the world, affecting over 55 million people— and still, no cure has been found. But there is hope. Research shows that creative activities such as art can help slow cognitive decline and reduce the risk of dementia. So Canva and Affinity turned design into a form of art therapy. Through specially designed templates, older adults can create visual guides about the most important parts of their lives — from daily routines and medications to the people they love. Printed and kept close, these designs become everyday reminders. So if dementia ever comes, design helps them find their way back to their lives.
