Questions about your New Blood Awards entry?
In light of Covid-19 here's some updated information
In light of Covid-19 and the extended New Blood Awards deadline of 4 May 2020, we know you may have some questions about your entry. Please see below for answers to some of our most frequent questions.
I'm worried about not being able to access my institutions facilities and the affect this will have on my work?
It is now possible when submitting your work via the entry site to detail how your work was impacted, for example: limited access to equipment, software or facilities. Tell us what you would have done differently. If you have already submitted your work you can email us to tell us at newblood@dandad.org
We are also speaking to industry creatives about how they are working from home during the Pandemic and will be sharing any tips that will benefit entrants of New Blood Awards on our social channels @newblood_dandad and @dandadnewblood
What has changed about submitting physical work?
We are no longer able to accept physical work to support your entries. This is reflected on our entry site and in our brief packs on our website. If you've already created something physical, don't worry. Once you've uploaded and paid for your entry, you'll be able to share your physical work with us as either:
- a short video (up to one minute)
OR
- up to 4 JPEG images or slides showing either your final piece or a mock-up
To share your physical work with us, email newblood@dandad.org after you've paid, including your entry ID and the additional files you'd like us to add.
What has changed about judging?
We will be hosting New Blood judging remotely to ensure the safety of our judges. They'll still be able to discuss and debate the work in the same way, but it will now be done online in early June.
