Ariane Spanier worked on the typographic design that appeared in nine public installations called Language Explosions. The installations featured at the Year of Language 2022 event at the Klassik Stiftung Weimar – a foundation that archives classical literature and art in Weimar by writers such as Goethe or Schiller. Quotes by the authors were used on 3D objects, and an entire room was emblazoned with Goethe’s poems. People could take a walking tour, read the sculptures, or physically interact with them. The texts were chosen for their relationship with contemporary issues and themes.
