Birds is a 332-page photography book resulting from a three-year project exploring and celebrating the wonderment of birds. It features a series of portraits, abstracts and birds in flight, which were set against simple backgrounds, so as to focus on the details, illustrate their morphological diversity and heighten people’s sense of empathy. The book drew inspiration from 19th-century bird illustrators and translated this craft into the 21st century by taking advantage of the unique benefits brought about by photography. A selection of prints from the book will be featured in the Paris Natural History Museum in 2022.
