Brazil was the last western country to abolish slavery, which has a significant part to play in the structural racism that remains in the country. It's an unwanted legacy that people don’t notice anymore and still lives on in Brazilian culture, behaviour and even language. In a world where everyone is connected and has a mobile phone, words have become even more powerful. TIM, one of Brazil’s biggest phone carriers, knows the crucial role smartphones have in shaping contemporary society, so it decided to fight against prejudice by launching an even more powerful weapon: education.
