On 4 August 2020, an explosion destroyed Beirut. STONES OF BEIRUT makes the disaster feel tangible by using rubble from the explosion to make the book. Featuring real survivors' accounts, it tells remarkable stories of life after the catastrophe, and serves as a reminder of the disaster itself. The specially developed font and the colours featured in the book are derived from the cityscape of Beirut. STONES OF BEIRUT was designed to build awareness and support financial aid, with sales proceeds and donations going to the NGO Beit El Baraka.
