Netflix’s The Trial of the Chicago 7 tells the story of seven protesters arrested for inciting the 1968 Grant Park riots. With this interactive outdoor experience, MediaMonks and Circus set out to show that many more men and women than those on trial fought for justice – all of whom deserve to be remembered. By exhibiting archive footage of the protests at specific locations inside the park, these windows into the past offered a new perspective on views familiar to Chi-town residents.
