Blockdown is a pandemic simulator built within Minecraft, the world’s most popular game. It was purpose-built to educate young audiences about the effects of social distancing in the pandemic using in-game zombies. It was made as a partnership between Mojang Studios (the creators of Minecraft) and the UNDP. It was released for free to allow 145 million kids to understand the strange new reality they are in.
