The objective was to create Skittles’ first ever pure brand radio spots, something the client had yet to make a part of its iconic “Taste The Rainbow” campaign, which debuted in 2004.
The Skittles brand is all about being irreverent, unexpected and random. So we creatively leveraged the brand’s iconic tag line “Taste The Rainbow” along with the VO artist from the television commercials.
The result: a series of entertaining stories that broke a few rules of radio such as repetitive brand name mention, product feature/benefit claims and lack of any SFX or music.
