In this digital age of emails, text messages, Facebook and Twitter, New Zealand Post asked us to remind people about the joys of sending a real letter with a real stamp. Instead of doing an ad, our idea was to create the A–Z of New Zealand stamps. An issue of 26 stamps is very rare indeed, and this number gave us the scope to add real breadth to our brief summation of great New Zealand people, events and cultural icons. The initial release sold out in less than a week. A subsequent reprint also sold out so quickly that a third reprint is now under way.
