This publication produced to document the first stage of a research trip to Shanghai, Changxing and Hangzhou in China to explore craft and manufacturing. The cover features five photographs layered on top of each other as a reference to the number of participants. The 204-page publication has French folded pages, four-colour printing, a coloured foredge and Chinese binding. Three bespoke typefaces were developed and employed throughout the design: New Rail Alphabet, Flavin and A2 Typewriter.
