To further underline their "You do the football, we'll do the beer" campaign, Budweiser used two fictional American sports presenters in over 80 idents throughout the 2006 World Cup. Brad Lescarbo and Hal Butchgrass reported on "this World Cup 2006 soccerball-thing" from a newsdesk in a sports centre-type TV studio. Despite demonstrating a complete lack of football knowledge they, being consummate professionals, continue regardless and we see them greet the Austrian team with "G'day", think there are still two more quarters after the final whistle and introduce Trinidad and Tobago as if they were two different countries.
