Distorted Dogs / Cropped Tourists / Red-Eyed Baby

Award: Wood Pencil

Wood Pencil / TV & Cinema Advertising / TV Commercial Campaigns Any Duration / 2006

Red-eyed Baby: A man arrives home to find his wife has left a photograph of their friend's baby in their bedroom. In the commercial, the photo is represented by a real child. The man dislikes the fact the child has red eyes, so his wife eventually puts it away in the cupboard. Cropped Tourists: A man has promised to email a digital photograph he took of a couple whilst on holiday, but is having second thoughts about doing so. It is cropped and he is considering deleting it. The photograph, represented by the actual people missing the tops of their heads, tries to convince him not to. Distorted Dogs: A woman is having coffee at her friend's house. She is distressed to discover that there are so many photos of her friend's pet dog in the home. Actual dogs represent the photos. In most of the photos it is poking its face into the lens, causing it to appear foreshortened and distorted.
