The brief was to raise awareness of Yahoo! amongst the Australian creative industry by positioning Yahoo! as the best online resource for smart insights, ideas and executions. To demonstrate what can be achieved, Yahoo! created the Think Tank, a live five minute idea generator powered by some of Australia and New Zealand's leading creative minds from inside a Perspex box. For two weeks, 24 hours a day, seven days a week visitors to www.yahoothinktank.com.au were able to submit creative briefs to the tank and watch the creatives work via a live webcam. Visitors could see the generated ideas displayed in an online gallery, judge the creative output, control the working environment and watch every minute of it live online or in person at Customs House, Sydney. The campaign generated briefs from around the world with nearly 20,000 visitors, 40% of which were repeat visitors.
