How to motivate users to use Duolingo daily? With over millions of people in the world owning a pet, this campaign borrows help from man's best friends to encourage users to tackle their daily lesson. We found that pet owners love talking to their pets (be it through teaching them tricks or short conversations), with 47% of pet owners admitting that they talk to their pets more post-pandemic. Duolingo Pet Edition allows users to teach their pets tricks using a new language, allowing them to spend quality time with their pets while improving on their newly learnt language, a win-win situation for all! Duolingo Pet Edition will start with short phrases (eg."sit") to more complex sentence structures (eg."Can you please sit?") to allow progressive learning for users.
